At Via Carducci, Mo.1950 transforms a showroom into an immersive living environment where architecture, material, and design merge seamlessly.
During Milan Design Week 2026, Mo.1950 redefines contemporary living with Architecture of Continuity—a spatial concept that transcends traditional exhibition formats and becomes a fully immersive domestic experience.

A Space as Experience
What unfolds at Via Carducci 38 is not an installation but a living narrative. The former showroom is reimagined as a Milanese apartment—inviting visitors not just to observe, but to inhabit the space.
Mo.1950, known for its integrated approach combining design culture, craftsmanship, and technical expertise, collaborates with Olivieri and Frag to create a dynamic environment where architecture, systems, and materials interact fluidly.

The Concept: Architecture of Continuity
At its core lies a holistic design philosophy: Architecture of Continuity. Every element—from wall finishes and doors to bespoke furniture systems—is conceived as part of a unified whole.
A defining feature is the architectural “ribbon,” inspired by Olivieri’s research on spatial envelopes. It flows through the space, guiding movement, shaping environments, and directing the gaze—creating a continuous spatial narrative.
Material as Language
Frag’s furniture collections further reinforce this continuity. Carefully curated pieces are integrated into a broader composition, where materials, proportions, and volumes interact to create a refined and cohesive domestic language.
Surfaces are not merely aesthetic choices—they become tools for design research, elevating the project beyond conventional interior design.

Blurring Indoors and Outdoors
The concept extends into the historic courtyard, transforming it into an open-air living landscape. With outdoor furnishings by Varaschin and bioclimatic shading systems by KE, the principle of continuity seamlessly connects interior and exterior spaces.
The courtyard becomes a vibrant hub for meetings, gatherings, and networking throughout the week.

Textile Narratives
Carpet Edition completes the experience with a new rug collection by LualdiMeraldi studio. Designed in tones that harmonize with the spatial concept, the textiles enhance the overall atmosphere.

Architecture of Continuity demonstrates how design can move beyond objects to create relationships—between materials, functions, and people. It is a quiet yet powerful vision of contemporary living, where space becomes a seamless, living entity.
