In Zanotta collection 2023, the soft sculpted volumes of the Bumper sofa and Nena Lounge armchair stand out:
Design concepts identified by a bold aesthetic character declined on three levels of comfort – structural base, seat and back – overlapping in a game of proportions carefully designed to accommodate and guarantee maximum comfort. Developed from a modular and collection perspective, they are the answer to the needs of public and private spaces.

“We started from the comfort of an embrace to design seats with a strong character, dynamic, in motion.”Lanzavecchia + Wai
The Nena family of seats has been extended with the arrival of the new Nena Lounge armchair for residential, contract and HoReCa settings. The collection’s distinctive styling code is immediately recognisable, in the contrast between the lightweight frame and the bulky shapes of the padded elements and the tailored look that emphasises the sinuous curves of the backrest.
A slim yet sturdy tapered tubular steel frame, painted black or graphite, provides support in the centre for the two overlapping seat cushions while supporting the suspended sculpted polyurethane backrest at the top. The semi-circular backrest embraces the seated user while also serving as an armrest, providing convenient support for them to get up. An air slit separates the backrest from the seat, creating a lightweight effect, which is accentuated by the tapered and slightly slanted legs that add dynamism to the armchair.
The Nena collection is the result of a design concept focusing on seating comfort in various configurations and functions: chair, high stool and armchair. Devised to be versatile in any public or private setting. Designed to provide seating for long periods of time, delivering the utmost levels of ergonomics, comfort and welcome. Built to last the test of time with attention to detail, such as the zip fastener concealed by a ruffle that embellishes the rear profile of the backrest, making the cover removable.

Divano monoblocco e componibile / Monobloc & modular sofa – Design year 2023
Bumper is a soft sculpture: a presence plied out of polyurethane with painstaking care for details and quality workmanship capable of enhancing the value of the curves. It is built on three overlapping levels of comfort – base, seat and backrest – that determine the distinctive stylistic feature of the design. It can easily be fitted in the middle of the room, thanks to the three-level concept that continues also at the rear, making this sofa appear and feel utterly comfortable. The seat is a single generously-sized, deep cushion, the backrest is low and bulky in keeping with the armrests, outlining a curved profile and an enveloping shape which welcomes and invites its user to sit back and relax. The backrest has a removable cover and is secured to the seat with pin hooks borrowed from the automotive industry, which also inspired the name of the product. The freely-positionable support cushions are padded with recycled and recyclable polyester chips and provide appropriate back support for a more formal front-facing seating position.
The sofa is available in the monobloc and modular versions, developed in a system which includes various end and corner modules, extended armchairs and poufs, to create corner and linear solutions that accommodate various space requirements, in both the residential and the contract & retail industries.
