DESIGN

The interiors of both The Legian Seminyak, Bali and The Club by The Legian Seminyak, Bali were created by a renowned Indonesian interior designer – namely the late Jaya Ibrahim. It typifies a chic, understated and locally inspired design style. Born in Yogyakarta, Ibrahim was the son of a Sumatran diplomat and a Javanese princess. His childhood was spent travelling with his parents and living in the Yogyakarta house of his maternal grandmother, absorbing Javanese culture. He spent 20 years working for Anouska Hempel before returning to Indonesia and establishing a design studio. The Legian Seminyak, Bali was one of his defining solo projects, leading him to design other hotels including The Chedi Muscat, Oman, the Aman Summer Palace, Beijing and The Setai in South Beach Miami. The hotel’s architect is another Indonesian great – Hendra Hadiprana.

DINING

The Restaurant overlooks the hotel’s iconic three-tiered infinity pool and combines Asian influences and local cooking techniques with the best of organic and sustainable seasonal ingredients. For a more relaxed meal The Pool Bar and The Ocean Champagne Bar offer light entrees and refreshing cocktails throughout the day. In addition to the exceptional restaurants at the hotel, Seminyak itself is known as the foodie capital of Bali. Thanks to the hotel’s location, guests have easy access to local cuisine and stylish beach clubs with favourites including nearby Ku De Ta and La Lucciola.
