Junya Watanabe, a name synonymous with innovation and avant-garde design in the fashion industry, is one of Japan's most influential fashion designers. Born in Fukushima, Japan in 1961, Watanabe began his career at Comme des Garçons in 1984 after graduating from the prestigious Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo.
