Autumn in the Valley of Lakes: The Apple-Sweet Paradise

As summer gently retreats, nature begins to settle into a quieter rhythm. And so do we, slowing down to reflect on all we’ve experienced. Places like the Valle dei Laghi in Trentino are perfect for this. Especially the charming Agritur La Dolce Mela, where autumn tastes of warm colors, a touch of dolce vita, fine wine, and sweet apples.

Autumn Melancholy

When the apple orchards of the agriturismo glow in warm shades of gold and red, as if summer had left all its passion behind in the leaves, then autumn has arrived between Trento and Riva del Garda, where lakes mirror the sky and mountains hold the hush of changing seasons. The air grows crisper, birds sing their final summer songs, and the gentle scent of wine and apples drifts through the rolling hills.

Geschmack der Umgebung

Who’s brave enough to take a few refreshing strokes in the chlorine-free natural pool early in the morning, before heading to breakfast – with regional products and apple juice that goes straight to the heart. So fresh and delicate. A pure delight, perhaps even enjoyed right under an apple tree. At Dolce Mela, great importance is placed on serving food that hasn’t traveled far: cheese, eggs, bread, and fresh fruit all come from the local area. The wine, too, is made close by. It grows on the nearby hills and, especially in autumn just after the harvest, reveals its true character right here – fresh, authentic, and full of personality.

A Place to Breathe

There’s no need to leave Agriturismo La Dolce Mela to fully experience the magic of autumn.
The expansive garden is a well-tended oasis, offering open views of the mountains and the cozy larch-wood guesthouse, which blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.

It’s little wonder, then, that the apple has come to symbolize paradise: a place where nature, slowness, and flavor come together in a single bite, especially in the gentle sweetness of autumn.
