INSPIRATION FROM AROUND THE WORLD FOR AN AESTHETIC AND MEANINGFUL LIFESTYLE

A Tranquil Retreat on Lake Como

Pierattelli Architetture designs a home where silence, light, and nature find perfect harmony.

On the gentle slopes overlooking Lake Como, Florence-based Pierattelli Architetturehas created a home that speaks in whispers – a place where time slows down, and architecture becomes an expression of serenity.

Where Architecture Breathes

Spread across four levels and 300 square metres, this lakeside retreat opens through floor-to-ceiling glass doors onto a terrace suspended between structure and landscape.
A pool clad in two-tone Marazzi ceramic tiles shimmers beside aromatic plants, while iroko wood decking warms underfoot.

“Our vision was to restore harmony and simplicity – to create spaces that breathe and reveal new horizons,”
says Claudio Pierattelli.

A Dialogue of Form and Feeling

Inside, honey-toned oak panelling, bespoke furniture, and neutral hues define an atmosphere of quiet refinement.
The custom kitchen features Luce di Carrara Arabescato marble and brass fixtures designed to age beautifully, gaining depth over time.
Every element contributes to a cohesive narrative — architecture as an intimate conversation between material and memory.

Levels of Living

The home unfolds gently: a gym on the ground floor, living and dining areas on the first, bedrooms on the second, and atop it all, a Cigar Room that opens to a private terrace.
Here, dark wood, Cassina armchairs, and Dedar fabrics create an atmosphere of introspection — a sanctuary suspended between the lake and the sky.

Art as Atmosphere

Throughout the residence, art and design engage in constant dialogue.
Works by Aurel K. Basedow, Eric Saglia, and Maurizio Donzelli punctuate the rooms, while the lighting remains deliberately discreet — drawing the eye not to itself, but to the view beyond the glass: the lake.

Timeless by Intention

Pierattelli Architetture`s project embodies the Italian art of understatement.
It is architecture that doesn’t seek attention, but presence — a home that feels both lived in and eternal.
