“I am incredibly proud to have received this star! A big thank you goes to everyone who accompanied me from the beginning in Terre Blanche. The star is an award for the entire team, first of all Quentin André, Jérémie Gressier, Paul Hervé, Fabien Ghini, of course the team in the dining room led by David Bisque and Aurélie Deharbe, our sommelière! Since my arrival, I have placed great emphasis on working with local producers, artisans, artists and winemakers who are representative of our region. We’ve also implemented numerous processes to reduce and recycle waste and save energy, which is important in today’s world.”
Christophe Schmitt has trained in numerous starred restaurants such as the “Crocodile” in Strasbourg, the “Maison Lameloise” in Chagny and the restaurant “Diane” in the hotel Fouquet’s Barrière in Paris. During his career, stars and awards circled around the chef: Christophe Schmitt received his first star at the Meilleur Ouvrier de France Jean-Yves Leuranguer, then he joined the kitchen of the restaurant “l’Almandin” at the hotel L’Île de la Lagune in Saint Cyprien, where he also received a star in the Guide Michelin. Christophe Schmitt won the “Espoir de l’année” trophy from “Le Chef” magazine in 2011, the Prix Taittinger international prize a year later, and was a finalist in the “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” competition in 2022. oday, Christophe Schmitt passes on his knowledge in the four restaurants of the Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resorts***** ,including “Le Faventia”, and presents a cuisine with Mediterranean accents.

Chef Christophe Schmitt is committed to authentic flavors and offers a culinary signature rooted in the region. The work of the producers is an important part of his cuisine, through which he pays homage to the terroir. At Terre Blanche, he has built a long-term and trusting relationship with each of them, resulting in a careful selection of Provençal products as well as the tableware, which he had made by Magali Barraja, a talented ceramist from Tourrettes.
