INSPIRATION FROM AROUND THE WORLD FOR AN AESTHETIC AND MEANINGFUL LIFESTYLE

Kelly Wearstler Launches Side Hustle: A New Creative Playground in Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills becomes the backdrop for an exciting creative experiment as design luminary Kelly Wearstler unveils Side Hustle, a multidisciplinary platform that redefines the boundaries of contemporary artistic expression.

When one of the most influential designers of our era embarks on a new venture, the design world pays attention. Side Hustle is Kelly Wearstler’s bold new initiative — a curatorial platform that functions as a gallery, creative studio, and digital hub for global artistic exchange. The Kelly Wearstler Side Hustle Gallery is designed to showcase and elevate original and editioned works spanning diverse creative disciplines.

What sets Side Hustle apart is its embrace of interdisciplinary creativity: from sculpture and painting to jewelry, music, performance, film, culinary art, automotive design and even sport. Wearstler brings together visionary voices from around the world, creating an evolving archive of work that transcends traditional artistic categories.

A Home Turned Gallery
In a testament to how deeply this project resonates with her, Wearstler chose not a neutral gallery space, but her own Beverly Hills residence as the physical site for the initiative. The historic pool house, once a private cinema with cinematic flair, now hosts the debut exhibition Again, Differently, featuring works by international talents like Dozie Kanu, Joana Schneider, and Sam Klemick.

Wearstler explains that Side Hustle grew naturally out of her longstanding practice of collaborating with artists across projects. With this platform, she seeks to invert the usual dynamics — not just integrating art into spaces, but creating spaces that allow art and design to coexist on equal footing.

Supporting Creativity Beyond Display
In an interview with AD Magazin, Wearstler emphasized that Side Hustle is more than a showroom.

“It’s about fostering a deeper dialogue between design and art and encouraging creatives to think across disciplines and experiment freely,”

Rather than acting as a traditional gallery owner, she positions herself as a supporter, curator, and creative collaborator.

By linking the physical space with an online platform and social media presence, Side Hustle invites artists, collectors, and design enthusiasts worldwide into a shared creative journey — redefining what a gallery can be in the 21st century.
