INSPIRATION FROM AROUND THE WORLD FOR AN AESTHETIC AND MEANINGFUL LIFESTYLE

Marcel Ostertag – The Blue Hour

When fashion becomes a statement

When daylight fades and the world slows down, the Blue Hour begins.
This fleeting moment between day and night forms the poetic foundation of Marcel Ostertag´s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection The Blue Hour – a story about transformation, unity and quiet resilience.

Between the Baltic Sea and Lake Tegernsee

Created during creative retreats in Ahrenshoop on the Baltic coast and at Lake Tegernsee, the collection reflects a deliberate pause from the fast-paced fashion cycle. Immersed in nature, Ostertag found clarity and focus. Photographs of deep blue seascapes and glowing sunsets were transformed directly into prints, becoming the emotional core of the collection.

Elegance meets modern streetwear

Bold prints and a powerful colour palette define the collection: deep blues are contrasted with mandarin, copper, mint, off-white, black and shades of grey. Marble effects and abstract natural textures add depth and dynamism.
Flowing jersey dresses embrace the body, oversized hand-knitted scarves create tactile contrasts, while sharply cut power coats meet delicate chiffon. Strong shoulders and defined waists celebrate a confident, modern femininity.

Glamour with a legacy

Glamour remains an essential element of the Ostertag-DNA. Black sequins merge with shimmering copper, while 1970s-inspired silhouettes are reimagined for today. Even the classic retro tracksuit receives a glamorous update – a bold reminder that contrast is at the heart of contemporary elegance.

A new way of presenting fashion

For The Blue Hour,Marcel Ostertag replaces the traditional runway show with an intimate cocktail event. The collection unfolds through video installations throughout the evening. This decision reflects both a personal and industry-wide shift, as the designer looks beyond Berlin and prepares to present his work on an international stage once again.

Sustainability as a mindset

For nearly 20 years, Marcel Ostertag has been a pioneer of sustainable luxury. Approximately 80 percent of the collection is crafted from premium deadstock fabrics, reducing waste and extending material life cycles. A lifelong repair service further reinforces the brand’s commitment to longevity, care and responsibility.

Meaningful collaborations

Longstanding partners contribute to the holistic vision of The Blue Hour – from sustainable eyewear and expressive hair and make-up looks to atmospheric campaign films. Together, they shape a collection that goes beyond fashion, embodying values, emotion and purpose.
