INSPIRATION FROM AROUND THE WORLD FOR AN AESTHETIC AND MEANINGFUL LIFESTYLE

The Art of Stillness

Doing less is often harder than doing more—perhaps because silence feels unfamiliar. In the Silent Villas, it’s in the quiet that you begin to notice how loud things can be inside you. And how necessary it is to simply withdraw for a while.

In the constant search for distraction, it’s easy to overlook that it rarely brings real relief. It merely postpones things. And that’s precisely why there is something so powerful about silence: it interrupts. It doesn’t add anything—it takes things away.

Between Goethestraße and Mühlweg, the ten villas of the Thermenresort Laa are located, almost right on the border with the Czech Republic, in a peaceful region of Lower Austria that feels almost monastic.
It is quiet. And yet nothing is missing. Arranged around a bathing lake, each villa rests on its own in silent anticipation of its guests, ready to welcome them for one, two, or three nights.

The sense of calm embraces you already upon arrival.

The architectural concept follows reduction and clarity. The Gothic tracery—a four-leaf clover—brings not only a symbolic sense of happiness, but also calmness and order to the mind.

The beds are freshly made, and if needed, the pillow menu offers millet, spelt, Swiss pine, down, or side-sleeper pillows. A wellness bag with a fluffy bathrobe is ready, the fireplace stands prepared to be lit, and the private spa—with its Finnish sauna, experiential shower, freestanding bathtub, and relaxation area—belongs entirely to you.

The villas offer absolute privacy: you don’t have to meet anyone if you don’t want to.

The service also blends seamlessly into this quiet concept. Upon request, breakfast is delivered directly to the villa—unobtrusive, discreet, and exactly when you are ready for it. Fresh pastries, regional products, the warm aroma of coffee slowly filling the room.

Those who wish can spend the day at the spa, floating in warm water or indulging in the wellness area. Or not. Whoever prefers simply stays in the villa—and does nothing. And yet perhaps that is the most meaningful choice of all. For oneself.

Because sometimes what feels unfamiliar at first turns out to be exactly what is needed: doing less in order to feel more.
