As the winter and its snow-covered landscapes approach, the renowned Alpine hotel Aman Le Mélézin will once again welcome its guests starting from December 8, 2023. Located in the spectacular heart of Les Trois Vallées, just moments away from Courchevel 1850, it offers France’s premier all-around skiing experience. Situated in the prestigious ski resort, the hotel is also a destination for culinary delights and wellness. A variety of new offerings and unique experiences are provided to make the most of the hotel’s beautiful location and exceptional facilities.

Unforgettable experiences.

With mountain adventures for all age groups, whether it’s sledding down to Courchevel Village or taking a leisurely hot air balloon or helicopter ride, the resort offers exclusive adventures in the region.

New for this season: Guests have the opportunity to ride a snowmobile or horse-drawn carriage through the snowy landscape to Les Prés de la Croix at twilight. There, they can enjoy a traditional Savoyard dinner with cheese fondue or stew by a crackling fireplace in a picturesque mountain chalet. On Friday evenings, a five-course meal created by a private chef can also be ordered. Children can play in the chalet’s mezzanine or go sledding under the starry sky before returning to La Tania by sled or snowbike. Then, an automobile transfer back to the hotel will be provided.

Aman Le Mélézin also offers unique and exhilarating outdoor experiences, providing even the most advanced skiers with a new way to enjoy the snow. A highlight for every guest is Moonbiking, which offers an off-piste adventure through the snow-covered slopes of the Pralong Farm on ultralight electric snow bikes. As an alternative to snowmobiling, Moonbiking provides an exciting way to embrace winter outdoor activities and peacefully experience the surrounding landscapes.

The exciting First Tracks adventure, which was very popular last season, is also offered again this winter. An experienced ski instructor guides guests to the highest point of the valley, where they can enjoy the panoramic views of Mont Blanc and La Grande Casse. Skiers can then embark on a breathtaking solo descent on “La Combe de la Saulire,” a legendary ski slope protected from strong winds by fresh snow all year round, offering a beautiful untouched downhill experience on the mountainside.

Culinary journeys of discovery.

This winter Aman Le Mélézin has introduced new gourmet and dining options that complement the enchanting snowscapes of the surroundings. After a delightful time on the slopes, you can relax in the cozy library or oak-paneled salon in front of a crackling fireplace. While doing so, enjoy a “Goûter” and an exclusive cocktail from the new menu curated by the in-house mixologist. Goûter means “to taste” and is a traditional French afternoon refreshment that includes sweet waffles and crêpes. New for this season are the Fireside Delights. On the expansive outdoor terrace overlooking the ski slope, groups of any size can enjoy the new experience and relax with a selection of fresh fruits and marshmallows roasted over an open fire and dipped in homemade melted chocolate. The perfect sweet treat after a day on the slopes.

The Japanese restaurant Nama, the hotel’s signature, celebrates the Japanese Washoku tradition with authentic, uncomplicated, and elegant dishes made using only the world’s finest ingredients. With the new Omakase concept, a new gourmet experience is introduced, allowing guests to enjoy a multi-course menu of fresh sushi and sashimi, such as Wagyu Tataki and grilled salmon shake, according to the chef’s choice. Omakase translates to “I leave it up to you” and is the Japanese tradition of entrusting the chef with the order, giving them full creative freedom to compose the menu based on the ingredients acquired on that day.

Enhancement of well-being.

As a renowned wellness retreat in the Alps, two entire floors of the property are dedicated to well-being. The holistic Aman Spa offers a range of therapeutic and rejuvenating treatments to prepare for an active day or recover from one.

This winter season, Aman Le Mélézin’s spa welcomes Dr. John Sanchez, a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with over a decade of experience. Dr. Sanchez will offer a range of TCM treatments and mindful movement classes designed to realign and rejuvenate the body and mind. He will also provide multi-day treatments with Taoist medicine. The treatments range from 60-minute acupuncture, deep tissue massage, and reflexology to aculaser and magnet therapy. The movement classes include Yin Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and the Animal Flow developed by Dr. Sanchez. The multi-day Taoist Medicine Journeys focus on either recovery and conditioning or mindfulness and energy balance. They include an initial consultation followed by four personalized sessions tailored to address both the symptoms and underlying causes of specific ailments.

For those looking to focus on their health in 2024, this season brings a special opportunity. The Aman Advanced Facial is a rejuvenating treatment at Aman Le Mélézin. It features Aman’s latest skincare collection, Essential Skin, combining effective formulas made in Japan with exfoliation and manual lifting techniques. These techniques help stimulate facial muscles, promoting tighter and more radiant skin. The treatment begins with an ultrasound exfoliation to dislodge and remove oil, dirt, and cellular debris from pores. It is further enhanced by microcurrent stimulation and firming massage, along with cryo bulbs to reduce puffiness and encourage a gentle radiance. Red and blue light therapy follows before completing the treatment with the application of the Aman Nourishing Gold Algae Face Mask for an exceptional glow. The facial treatment can be extended to 90 minutes, including an extended scalp massage, facial massage, and a hydra-active mineral mask to increase skin hydration.
