INSPIRATION FROM AROUND THE WORLD FOR AN AESTHETIC AND MEANINGFUL LIFESTYLE

Ambiente Sedona – Around the Red Rocks. And Beyond.

Arizona’s landscape sets the pace: exploring sandstone formations, riding through the Verde Valley or gazing into Sedona’s vast night sky.

Some landscapes make you want to see them from every angle. In Sedona, a drive through the red rocks and a helicopter flight above them might be just hours apart. By evening, attention turns to the stars. Ambiente Sedona is a starting point for these discoveries – and a place where the landscape begins just beyond your own glass walls.

One landscape, many perspectives

Sedona is defined by its red sandstone formations. Depending on the position of the sun, they appear in shades of warm orange, bright red or dark, almost violet hues. Canyons, hiking trails and dusty tracks wind between them. What looks like a continuous panorama from a distance becomes a landscape of branching paths and unexpected views as you explore.

The glass-walled atriums of Ambiente Sedona open onto these surroundings. From the room, guests can watch the light move across the rocks. Yet the view through the glass also sparks curiosity about the terrain beyond.

A guided off-road tour through the Soldiers Pass area brings the formations closer. Rock walls rise beside the vehicle before another bend reveals the expanses of Red Rock Country. Along the way, the terrain offers a sense of the forces that have shaped this region over time.

From the air and on horseback

With its Adventure Seeker experience, Ambiente combines a private Jeep tour with a helicopter flight. From above, tracks become fine lines. Valleys and plateaus emerge, revealing connections that are difficult to grasp from the ground. Back among the rocks, the terrain that seemed so easy to take in from the air regains its imposing scale.

Saddle & Sip offers a slower-paced introduction to the region. Guests explore the Verde Valley on horseback before visiting local wineries. Arizona has a wine-growing landscape, too – one that often receives little attention alongside the familiar images of deserts and red rocks.

Between ranchland and vineyards, another side of the area comes into view. The excursion combines time outdoors with an opportunity to discover the region’s wines – and linger a little longer over the first glass.

Above the rocks, the sky begins

After sunset, the next stop is the private rooftop terrace of your own atrium. The rocks gradually lose their colour, becoming dark outlines against the sky.

Sedona has held the designation of International Dark Sky Community since 2014. The city works to limit light pollution and preserve views of the night sky. During a private stargazing session, an astronomy expert helps guests find their bearings among the countless points of light. Depending on viewing conditions, powerful telescopes reveal planets, star clusters and distant nebulae.

After the sweeping views of the day, the sense of scale shifts once more. Up on the rooftop terrace, the evening can unfold without anything else on the itinerary: stars overhead, and ahead, the silhouettes of the rocks that will catch the sunlight again the following morning.
