When Art Makes History Visible
In her Houston studio, Vietnamese-American artist Tiffany Chung reflects on memory, migration, and how art can challenge official narratives.
Working across maps, sculptures, paintings, and digital media, the multidisciplinary artist combines intensive research with personal experience to explore the human consequences of war, displacement, and migration.
Inspired by cartography, Chung investigates the intricate entanglements between political, social, economic, and environmental processes. Her work questions official narratives that often silence individual voices and lived experiences, bringing stories threatened with erasure back into focus.

Between Personal History and Collective Memory
