Art, Emotion and Italian Excellence – A House Returns to the Global Stage
At Printemps New York, the revived Italian fashion house Sergio Soldano marked its official return during New York Fashion Week with the Fall/Winter 2026–2027 Ready-to-Wear collection. Presented in partnership with Fashion Group International, the evening signaled a bold yet thoughtful renaissance.

An Immersive Presentation
Set within the Art Deco-inspired Boudoir space, the presentation unfolded as a living tableau. Garments were suspended overhead while models performed the collection in motion, blurring the line between fashion and performance art.

A spellbinding violin performance by Lauren Cauley alongside vocalist Minda Larsen elevated the atmosphere into something deeply emotional and theatrical.
Industry figures including Maryanne Grisz, Thierry Prevost and Fern Mallis underscored the significance of the house’s return.

The Collection: A New Visual Language
Under the creative direction of Giovanni Premoli and Dario Di Bella, the 107-piece collection (77 garments, 27 accessories) establishes a renewed aesthetic rooted in Italian artistry and emotional storytelling.
Rather than revisiting archival silhouettes, the designers reinterpret legacy as a living language. Painterly oil-on-canvas artworks are transferred onto silk and noble fabrics, merging craftsmanship with contemporary form.
The Four Macro-Themes
The Architecture of Black
Architectural silhouettes in leather and silk introduce a sculptural elegance. A handcrafted leather anemone emerges as the symbolic signature of rebirth and resilience.

2. Genoa: Return to Origins
Graphic silk prints inspired by Genoa’s palazzi reconnect the house to its birthplace and cultural memory.

Squares in the City
Urban geometry meets sartorial precision in clean lines and functional volumes designed for modern city life.

The Time of Sinopia
Inspired by preparatory fresco drawings, memory transforms into future-facing design.

Heritage Since 1968
Founded in 1968, Sergio Soldano became known for bold geometry, vibrant colors and a refined understanding of the female silhouette. Worn by icons such as Elizabeth Taylor, Gina Lollobrigida and Monica Vitti, the house left an indelible mark on mid-century fashion.
Now under the ownership of Desire Holding Group, the brand enters a new chapter—one defined by craftsmanship, integrity, and a distinctly contemporary vision of luxury.
A Contemporary Renaissance
Sergio Soldano’s Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection is not a nostalgic revival, but a mindful reinvention. It affirms that true luxury lies in craftsmanship, emotion, and cultural continuity—where heritage and modernity meet in harmonious dialogue.
