The Intimate Suite: home interiors by ETRO

A refined allure, exotic details and a delicate colour palette are the salient features of The Intimate Suite, the new home environment of ETRO Home Interiors coming as the natural evolution of the Living Room.

The Intimate Suite

The Suite comprises a bedroom area, a living space and an office: an intimate and cosy environment where iconic pieces of the collection, dressed in neutral shades, celebrate the nomadic spirit of ETRO in a softly sophisticated version, to further confirm the versatility of this furnishing line.

The proposal presents a medley of suggestions, styles and cultures imbued in a refined atmosphere, which is generated by the calibrated mingling of the delicate shades of the upholstery – in a colour palette ranging from grey to beige – and dark-coloured wood, such as wenge-stained Carbalho, with its assertive character and ethnic tones.

The imaginative expressiveness of the ETRO world is translated by the brand’s typical narrative patterns into a new language of lightness and fluidity. Thus, the tree of life, one of the symbolic elements used to develop the storytelling associated with the travel theme, appears on the wallpaper, along with Paisley in its countless interpretations.

Iconic nature of the furnishing pieces

In the various rooms of the Suite, the accent lays on the iconic nature of the furnishing pieces. Launched in 2021, the central element of the office area is also the first desk of the Interiors line. Akbar is a writing desk of austere lines, embellished by the presence of characteristic elements such as the Paisley fabric in the colour of hide leather, typical of ETRO’s leather goods, which lines the side pocket, the drawers and storage compartments.

The desk is perfectly coordinated with the Hamar chair, which combines the natural inspiration of Viennese cane with recollections of Africa: the frame in dark wenge-stained wood with a matte finish and the polished brass rings recall the tribal jewellery of this continent.

The living room is separated from the bedroom area by the Woodstock daybed, upholstered in contrasting plain-coloured velvets and matching silk tassels.

The protagonist of the bedroom is the spectacular Timgad bed, whose name evokes the splendour of an ancient Algerian city, the elected backdrop of a story in which exotic inspirations encounter the intrinsic sartorial vocation, art and expert craftsmanship of the brand. Characterized by an impacting cane headboard in a new shade of soft grey, the bed is fitted with mobile panels equipped with a fabric covered reading lamp, with the further option of inserting shelves with compartments and clothes hooks, to create a personalized environment.

The Timgad screen is a piece of furniture full of inspirations, whose name evokes the splendor of an ancient Algerian city, while the fabrics that characterize it tell wonderful intertwining of places and stories. The panels have dark wengé-stained wooden frames, completed with Vienna straw in shades of gray on the sides and with Leroy gray fabric in the middle. The screen is equipped with a mirror and embellished with polished brass details.

A perfect fit to the Timgab bed is the Caral night table with Vienna straw in a new soft gray color and paisley handles in polished brass, as well as the Samarcanda pouf which has a polished brass base and is upholstered in velvet and Greyton fabric in a new tone-on-tone colour palette in the shades of brown. An eclectic piece of furniture imbued with ethnic suggestions and exotic inspirations.

Among the upholstered items, the Caral armchair stands out with its nomadic spirit and travel suggestions. The back frame of this elegant seat is realized in matt dark wengé dyed wood with matt Smoke Grey dyed cane, a new and delicate shade of gray while the upholstery is in Bukhara fabric, whose neutral tones contrast with the darker ethnic theme of the typical Persian “Suzani” pattern.

Of clear ethnic inspiration as well, the Woodstock Mountain four-seater sofa recalls instead atmospheres that bring to mind Ottoman and North African traditions. Dressed for the Intimate Suite in the iconic fabric with “Mountain” print in a new colour variant, with a beige base and dark motifs reminiscent of gypsy designs, the sofa is characterized by a base in dark wengé dyed wood with tips and details in polished brass.

With its stand-out elegance, the new 7-drawer chest of the Kolkata line is leather-upholstered in a subtle shade of greige and embellished by brass drawer pulls and decorative details.

Latest addition to the Kolkata line, sharing the same design of the base, the new dressing table is a decorative piece of furniture with a mirror with golden nails on the borders and greige leather upholstery. The base is in brushed dark bronze iron (varnished with multilayer hand-applied patina finishing) while the elegant double “E” handles are in polished cast brass. The proposal is completed by a circular mirror on base of multilayer wood covered in aniline leather Greige and bordered with bronzed nailheads around the circumference.

Finally the René mirror, upholstered in fabric with paisley design, thanks to the unprecedented combination between the warmth of the fabric and the refinement of the details in bronzed brass, contributes to express the eclectic and multifaceted spirit of ETRO Home Interiors, completing  the environment with elegance.
