About WienerBlut
The term “Viennese blood” was coined in 1873 to describe the special temperament of the inhabitants of Vienna in the heyday of the monarchy: a mixture of joie de vivre and frivolity – the decadence of the fin-de-siècle.
Wiener Blut is thus an antithesis to the “blue blood” of the rest of the European high aristocracy.
The fragrances are inspired by original recipes as well as by fashion, art and luxury in the Imperial Royal Monarchy of Austria-Hungary.
1889. the time of the Paris World’s Fair, the flourishing economy and the Belle Époque.
During this unique era, Frapin cognacs were also rewarded for their excellence. The gold medal for the best cognac was presented to Pierre Frapin by Gustave Eiffel himself.
No details have been transmitted of what was spoken between the two powerful men, but the Frapin estate in Charente, France, bears witness to what took place. Mr. Eiffel designed the wine warehouse for the family that still exists here today.
Paradis Perdu is an ode to the Frapins’ vineyards. The vast land surrounding the estate inspired perfumer Amélie Bourgeois to create an effervescent fragrance that is effervescent and beguiling.
