LARS NYSØM, the design label for everyday essentials, launches an extensive brand campaign with which the brand repositions itself visually. In cooperation with the agency Heroes & Heroines, photographer Patrick Langwallner and videographer David Wedenig and under the creative direction of Lisa Koestl, a high-quality series of images was created that underlines the image of the brand and conveys it succinctly to future partners and customers. Carpets are not only trendy when it comes to furnishing, they also make you dream. When we get to know a new carpet we first do so with our eyes. We see its pattern, colours and shape to make a first contact. But sooner than we think, the same carpet conquers all our senses – we walk barefoot over it, feel its haptics and structure, run our fingers over it. We conquer it as a playground on which we can also sit, lie down, listen to music, talk to each other, meditate. Finally, the carpet becomes a harmonious part of our living spaces. As Head of Design at Wittmann, Alice Wittmann is now responsible for the development of new models from the brief to the presentation of the finished furniture. In this role, the daughter of Ulrike Wittmann and Heinz Hofer-Wittmann will be intensively involved in the model policy of her family company and support the development department in all design processes and in collaboration with designers.

Going Dark: The Contemporary Figure at the Edge of Visibility presents works of art that feature partially obscured or hidden figures, thus positioning them at the “edge of visibility.” In this art context, the common phrase going dark is understood as a tactic whereby artists visually conceal the body to explore a key tension in contemporary society: the desire to be seen and the desire to be hidden from sight.
